Lockheed Martin Corporation is seeking an accomplished, highly skilled and energetic Contracts Manager to lead the contracts professionals who support the Air, Land, & Classified EW and Tactical Missions & Manufacturing sub-market segments of the Spectrum Convergence portfolio.
The selected candidate will be responsible to provide strategic contracting advice for two (2) dynamic and emerging sub-market segments, and lead a team of contracts professionals in the administration of these contracts and the negotiation of related new business.
The candidate must be capable of building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers and act as the companys primary contact with US Government contract specialists, DCMA administrative contracting officer, commercial customers and international customer sets.
The candidate will provide advice to the Program Management and Senior Contracts Leadership team on Government and Commercial contracting issues, with experience managing Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs). Additionally, this position will coordinate and consult with finance, sourcing and the legal staff, as required.
The candidate must be a strategic thinker who is able to support the contracts professionals with crafting effective business contracts and agreements. This position will require occasional travel domestically to support the contracts professionals located in Lockheed Martin facilities across the U.S. In addition, OCONUS travel may be required on occasion to support a business need.
The selected candidate will lead a group of contracts professionals, ranging from newly placed professionals to highly experienced and proficient contracts professionals. The candidate will play a key role in shaping the future of Lockheed Martin through capturing follow-on and new business as well as developing and mentoring future leaders within the organization.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have leadership and interpersonal skills; be effective in a dynamic team environment; possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as analytical thinking, risk analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Possess significant experience in the review and interpretation of the USG FAR and DFARS, as it relates to the contract life cycle including proposals, administration and closeout.
Have the ability and willingness to travel to support the Contracts Professionals located in Lockheed Martin facilities across the U.S. In addition, be willing to travel OCONUS to support new business and program opportunities.
Must possess strong business acumen with the ability to clearly recognize risk elements in business transactions, providing governance to the program team and contracts professionals carrying out the terms of the contract.
Possess experience with various contract types and contracting vehicles, with a focus on Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), including experience drafting contract language.
In-depth knowledge of Lockheed Martin policies and procedures.
Ability to prepare and present effectively to senior management.
Must have or be able to obtain a security clearance. US citizenship is required.
Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
Desired Skills:
Virtual team management experience.
Demonstrated strength in understanding intellectual property rules.
Proposal capture experience.
Knowledge of ITAR and export licensing requirements.
Successful experience in building and managing a staff.
