Position Summary
Create all succession and career development processes, calendars and influence execution of this critical work. Responsible for training and developing human resources business partners (HRBPs) to effectively drive these behaviors across the businesses they serve. Partner with several colleagues across Centers of Excellence (COEs) and Shared Services in order to understand existing gaps, future needs and create solutions that will move the overall impact of talent across our business forward. Ensure key accountabilities are being met by tracking and coaching to succession and career development key metrics. Champion and educate others on internal and external development programs, awards, etc. that will support development and progression for employees across our enterprise. Essential Job Functions
* Create succession and career development process, calendar, policies, tools and influence technologies aligned with and in support of business needs, vision and culture
* Serve as a key partner to HRBPs to understand business specific career development and succession gaps, opportunities, wins, best practices etc. in order to create one best way solutions to enhance enterprise wide mobility, opportunities, placements, etc.
* Track and report completeness of succession plans and career paths
* Consolidate career pathing and identify cross-business unit or cross-function career pathing options to enrich associate mobility
* Manage/create programs like mentoring, mobility, external development, board placements etc.
* Partner with HRBPs to ensure effective execution and aggregates and analyzes succession and career development metrics to understand overall trends and ensure calibration
* Train and coach HRBPs on the processes, tools, etc., that they will leverage to execute against expectations and expected outcomes
* Ensure requirements are being met by tracking succession and career development key performance indicators and diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives
* Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
Minimum Position Qualifications
* Bachelor's Degree in business, HR, or related field
* 5+ years of experience either as a HR generalist in a large complex organization comprised of exempt and non-exempt employees or as a career coach/consultant
* Proven ability to influence and drive change via senior leader alignment, communicating a compelling vision, declaring measuring outcomes, training key stakeholders and driving effective and timely execution through others
Desired Previous Experience/Education
* Any retail experience
* Advanced degree in industrial/organizational psychology
