The Wholesale Payments (www.jpmorganchase.com/ts) business within the Corporate Investment Bank is a top-ranked, full-service provider of innovative payment, collection, liquidity and investment management, trade finance, and information solutions to corporations, financial services institutions, multinational companies, and governments worldwide.

The Compliance Department of JPMorgan Chase Bank is seeking a Compliance Manager with at least five (5) years of relevant experience to join the Wholesale Payments Compliance team, based in the US (NY metro).

The Wholesale Payments (WP) Compliance Manager will report to a Compliance Director in WP Compliance. This critical hire will provide subject matter expertise and oversight for emerging payment types, including blockchain. The background and experience to assess compliance risk in connection with new payment products and technologies, payment service provider vendor relationships, and e-commerce solutions is required.

Responsibilities include:

* Interacting with front office senior management in connection with the development and implementation of new and updated products and services, new distribution channels, onboarding of new clients, and the framework for hosting third party applications on a blockchain-based network
* Representing WP Compliance at relevant business meetings or forums (e.g. Business Control Forums)
* Providing advice and interpretation on a wide range of regulatory and firm policy issues
* Keeping abreast of regulatory and legislative changes and providing advice to enable the business to ensure successful implementation of new rules, or regulatory guidance
* Accountable for second line oversight of controls designed to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
* Participating in ongoing Independent Second Line Risk Assessments
* Reviewing new business initiatives and assessing their regulatory implications
* Partnering with Compliance colleagues and engaging other control functions e.g. Legal, Risk, Audit, Finance and Controls

Qualifications

* Bachelor degree required and advanced degree (MBA or JD) preferred
* 5+ years Compliance experience or relevant regulatory, audit or risk background
* Strong knowledge of banking regulations and the payment processing industry
* Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to establish credibility with senior business partners
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills and the ability to manage several simultaneous projects
* Familiarity with compliance risk assessments
* Strong execution skills, involving project management like disciplines to ensure resolution and delivery
* Strong business judgment and strategic thinking
* Proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels both orally and in writing, including the ability to operate in a complex organizational structure
* Self starter and strongly motivated to achieve higher standards over time
* Ability to deliver high quality results as part of a geographically dispersed global compliance team
