Job Description

Responsibilities Include:
* Define the overall Cloud Architecture and provide input into design and operational activities based on best practices tailored to customer needs and infrastructure to maximize the benefits of the cloud environment.
* Provides expertise in high availability, contingency planning, and automated provisioning
* Responsible for cloud management and monitoring.
* Integrate application, server, network security, and government requirements such as FISMA, FedRAMP, and ATO processes.
* Participate in the product evaluation and selection process.
* Provide architecture expertise and assist in development of products and deliverables to further strategy and goals in transition to a Cloud hosting model.
* Designs solutions for various deployment models (Private, Public, Community and Hybrid) and service models including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS) and emerging cloud services to optimize the essential characteristics of cloud computing.
* Advises on storage and security solutions to securely store data in multi-tenancy environments.
* Collaborates with enterprise architecture team and other stakeholders to determine enterprise tools, technologies and processes.
* Provide management of research and evaluation of current market trends, best practices and preferred architectural approach to ensure the solution matches services/agency needs.
* Assist and support activities to eliminate gaps or inconsistencies in the initial solution, architectural design, deliverables, benefits and messaging.

Required qualifications include:
* 10+ years experience designing and defining system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
* Expertise in developing, maintaining and contributing to technical and process documentation.
* Expertise with Microsoft Azure and AWS services.
* Expertise in DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC-SRG) and SCCA Architectures including Cloud Access Point (CAP) architectures.
* Expertise with Enterprise Architecture Frameworks such as TOGAF / DODAF.
* Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
* Industry recognized cloud engineering/architecture or security certification(s).
* Expertise in cloud service delivery models

* Senior AWS/Microsoft Azure Certifications
* Must have an active Top Secret security clearance and able to obtain a TS/SCI
* BS/BA Degree in Information Technology or related field OR commensurate level of experience based on position level.

Preferred qualifications include:
* 3+ years of experience with virtualization, including work with servers, storage, network, and reducing sprawl
* - 3+ years of experience with infrastructure-based processes: monitoring, capacity planning, facilities management, performance tuning, asset management, disaster recovery, data center support
* - 2+ years of experience with servers, infrastructure, platform sizing, infrastructure cost reduction
* - 2+ years of experience with legacy system engineering assessments, discovering the build and details surrounding the system in order to re-build it in a new hosted environment
* - 2+ years of experience with any of the following technologies: AWS, VMWare, Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud Platform
