Network Cybersecurity Engineer, Mid

The Challenge:

Everyone knows security needs to be baked in to a system architecture, but you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your Cyber engineering skills to design and build secure systems for the customer? Were looking for a Cybersecurity engineer who can help create solutions for the customer that will stand up to even the most advanced Cyber threats.

As a Cyber operations engineer on our project, youll participate in designing, engineering, integrating, implementing, testing, deploying, maintaining, reviewing, and administering the infrastructure, hardware, and software that are required to effectively manage the security and risk posture of the network and resources. Youll work with other Cyber teams to identify the right mix of tools and techniques to translate your customers needs and future goals into a plan that will enable secure and effective solutions. We need to come up with the best solution, so youll research new techniques, break free from the legacy model, and go where the industry is going. On our team, youll learn how to take a critical approach to network design, providing alternatives and customizing solutions to maintain a balance of mission needs. This is a chance to learn from a team of experts as you make a difference in the security of aerospace networks. We help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by integrating secure practices like risk management framework, endpoint-based detection, multi-factor authentication, identity and access management, advanced analytics, etc. Youll be able to gain experience in a variety of Cybersecurity areas, including Cloud-based security, vulnerability testing, penetration testing, etc., while building peace of mind in a critical infrastructure. Youll assist with applying the systems engineering life cycle to translate strategic Cyber objectives, technology, and environmental conditions into engineering outcomes and solutions. Youll assist with selecting and applying processes and methodologies to meet Cyber performance objectives. Youll assist with configuring Cyber systems to meet user requirements and support the acquisition of hardware and software, as needed. You Have:

-3+ years of experience with network security tools, including routers, switches and next-generation firewalls

-Experience with cybersecurity, information assurance, security practices, and RMF or NIST processes

-Ability to learn and apply new concepts

-Ability to be self-motivated

-Ability to travel up to 50% of the time for job assignments, as needed

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree
