As a Senior UX Designer, you will be working with a unique and gifted team developing exciting products for consumers in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
You will work alongside other designers, research, product management, engineering, and QA to define and build a v1 lovable product. This position requires the ability to dive deep, invent, and be relentlessly curious about customer needs and how we can bring potential solutions to life. You will validate concepts at a variety of fidelities, including working prototypes, throughout the design process. You are highly motivated to explore new opportunities along the way, consistently raising the bar for whats possible.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan and propose innovative solutions for a wide variety of user experience challenges.
* Lead the design of v1 experiences while planning and strategizing for future iterations.
* Develop high-level and/or detailed storyboards, mockups, animated videos, and prototypes to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
* Quickly iterate on multiple interactive design solutions and work through details.
* Advocate for your design solutions by putting them in context of business and user goals.
* Deliver work that's not only user-friendly and aesthetically engaging, but also produces business results.
* Work alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
* Develop and maintain detailed user interface specifications, contributing to an overall shared design system.
* Effectively present design work and supporting thinking to stakeholders and senior leadership for review and feedback.
* Contribute to the groups shared knowledge of user-centered design and research methodologies.
* Lead others in setting direction and scoping work accurately in the face of ambiguity.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
6+ years of design experience
An available online portfolio
6+ years of rapid prototyping experience
6+ years of experience with design tools including Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Hype, and Axure.
Bachelor's degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent professional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience developing and communicating design with animatics, along with general motion design experience.
Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, user interviews, contextual inquiry) is a strong plus.
Experience and desire to work in a start-up style environment involving rapid iteration and user testing.
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills; the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
Ability to drive the design review cycle and close on design requirements independently.
Fluency in best practices for native mobile and web-based information architecture and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniques.
