Passionate about DevOps, CI/CD, and building tools to optimize development? The Amazon Silk browser infrastructure team is looking for a strong software development engineer to join our ranks. We are actively building new testing capabilities and new tools to support the development and verification of the browser. We support Silk engineering teams building for Fire tablets, FireTVs, and Echo Show devices. We operate like a startup in a big company. Our engineers work closely with Silk client teams to build best-in-class build and test infrastructure. Our engineers are owners who identify, define, and build solutions to support new testing capabilities, developer tools, and the next generation of build infrastructure. The apps we build are used by millions of customers every day, supported by a rock solid CI/CD pipeline. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Programming experience with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C including object-oriented design
1+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
1+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs
Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience building on AWS technologies
Android/Java/C++
Chromium experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Deliver results consistently and on-time
Enthusiasm for working in a fast paced, rapidly changing environment
Experience with Docker or Ansible in production environments.
Experience with continuous integration servers like Jenkins, Bamboo and TeamCity
