DESCRIPTION

The Alexa North Star Experience (NSX) team's mission is to support Alexa staff to deliver high quality customer experiences. We give teams greater access to research insights, design knowledge and community, and product guidance. We are seeking an experienced Sr. Program Manager to oversee our portfolio of programs and lead our Design Knowledge and Community initiatives.

As a Senior Program Manager, you will drive programs that help Alexa teams ship better customer experiences, measure our programs' effectiveness, and drive awareness of our offerings. You demonstrate high judgment and track delivery against our goals. The Senior Program Manager creates mechanisms to track adoption of these programs and surfaces ongoing builder needs to leadership. They work to ensure all Alexa product builders have the tools and insights they need to delight and serve customers.

For Design Knowledge and Community, the Sr. Program Manager organizes the bi-annual VUI Summit and owns defining the strategy and execution Alexa Voice Academy (AVA). AVA is a skills-based development program that expands the population of VUI designers at Amazon. AVA accelerates onboarding, learning, and professional development for UX designers who are new to VUI roles or who work in multiple modalities that include voice.

The ideal candidate has experience working across multiple teams across an organization, both horizontally and vertically. The candidate must have a proven record of managing programs, possess strong writing skills, and have experience evangelizing organizational programs, presenting to senior leadership, and leading with influence.

Responsibilities will include:
Leading monthly and quarterly business reviews to inspect programs progress and effectiveness.
Defining the strategy and owning execution of curriculum of the Alexa Voice Academy.
Driving awareness and adoption of NSX programs and resources.
Hosting the bi-annual Alexa VUI Summit.
Diving deep to identify product builder needs related to design, tooling, and best practices.
Providing project management for special initiatives.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

7+ years of experience as a program or project manager, or similar role.
3+ years of experience leading project delivery for large, cross functional, projects
Bachelors degree or equivalent professional experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skills
Excellent understanding of design, research, and software development
Background working in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team and working directly with designers, researchers, and developers
Able to identify and mitigate risk on projects
