Job description: Amazon Photos helps consumers preserve and re-live their memories. The service comes with unlimited photo storage for Prime members and apps are available on iOS, Android, Web, Desktop, Fire Tablet & Fire TV. The service is also integrated into Alexa devices such as Echo Show and Echo Spot. Amazon Photos is the latest digital offering to consumers released on the heels of the Amazon Music and Amazon Video offerings. We have ambitious goals to scale growth and adoption of the service around the world and delight our customers with a phenomenal product.
What you will do: You will lead a team of talented and experienced Quality Assurance professionals who are responsible for delivering a high-quality bar for Amazon Photos products on mobile applications, web and desktop products. Your teams are going to build cutting edge test solutions that will continue to evolve. You will be diving deep in to our testing methodologies to transform largely manual quality process to a highly automated quality program. You will be deploying your technical acumen and experience in driving the development of maintainable, reliable automation deliverables that would withstand the test of time. And finally you will have the satisfaction of being able to look back and say you were a key contributor to how people save and relive their fondest memories. You will be working closely with Quality Assurance Managers, Software development managers and Program leaders.
What we are looking for: We are looking for a talented Quality Assurance Manager with a strong testing and technical background and solid people management skills to build, manage and develop highly-capable and experienced quality teams. We are in need of a person who can identify repeated manual tasks and bring the team together to understand the value of automation to avoid spending a tremendous amount of manual hours in repeated tasks. We are looking for a person with experience delivering quality efforts for devices testing and automation. We are looking for someone who can blend in a diversified environment and drive the quality of the product successfully.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of technical education and work experience
5+ years of experience in overall software QA/test experience; 3+ years as a manager
Proven experience in building and managing a test team
Demonstrated experience developing high-quality test plans and test reports
Experience shipping customer facing products (guiding them from initial planning to a customer-facing release)
Knowledge of QA methodology and tools, software testing standards, methods and conventions, and the product development cycle
Demonstrated skills with one or more mobile and web UI automation frameworks
Experience of working QA programs that implemented manual to automation
Experience of working in Agile programs
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Passion for and knowledge of Photos domain and digital entertainment
Strong people management skills, with proven ability to hire and grow talented tools developers and test engineers
Experience working closely with development and business teams to communicate problem impacts and to understand business requirements
Experience driving technological and process innovation
Proven success in communicating cross-functionally and across management levels
Experience with DevOps development practices, and contributing to continuous integration and risk mitigation
