Amazon Flex works directly with independent contractors called delivery partners to make deliveries to our customers. With Amazon Flex, partners act as their own boss. They can build their own schedule and choose from different types of opportunities (scheduled-ahead blocks, instant offers), all while making great earnings. Amazon Flex is powered by a mobile app that works in concert with our advanced systems, allowing partners to sign in, grab an offer for a time, check out a map of the location, and more.
We are seeking a Senior Communications Manager for Amazon Flex. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high quality communications to our delivery partners in the US. You will generate new ideas to improve delivery partner experience and execute initiatives, working with cross-functional teams, and solving problems. You will have communications program management experience, excellent writing skills, and the ability to easily adapt communications for different audiences. You will exercise extremely high judgment in narrow time frames, inject logic and care into communications, and ensure content meets the highest standards. Our environment is fast-paced and often ambiguous.
Key responsibilities include:
Define the strategy and manage the execution of communications programs to improve the delivery partner experience. This includes analyzing and defining key objectives, messages and channels, to drive awareness, engagement, and adoption of initiatives.
Create high-quality, engaging communications and copy for delivery partners across a variety of channels, including emails, FAQs, talking points, newsletters, videos, websites, announcements, and others.
Partner with internal teams who communicate with delivery partners, including marketing, voice of driver, driver support, safety, operations, and others, to ensure the highest quality of driver-facing communications to support the achieving business goals.
Lead issues management communications, and help ensure business continuity.
Create and maintain communications toolkits, processes, templates, and messaging for worldwide marketing and communications teams.
Propose, execute, and scale new ways of creating and distributing communications, including identify and driving process improvements.
Develop, track and report metrics on the effectiveness of communications, as well as continually monitor, analyze, and tune messaging to maximize impact.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
A Bachelors degree in communications, journalism, PR, or a related field.
7+ years experience developing and managing communications programs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Highly developed and polished written and verbal communication skills.
Strong balance of creative and analytical skills.
Strong sense of brand and editorial voice; the ability to harmonize message across multiple channels and marketing vehicles.
Strong project management skills and experience, including managing stakeholders and multiple projects at once.
Experience working cross-functionally and leading through influence.
Experience managing complex and fast-moving issues.
Demonstrated ability to interface with all levels of the organization
