As a Sr. Manager of Operations Engineering, you will lead a team of manufacturing engineers focused on engagement with product design engineering to effectively translate Prime Air product and technology roadmap into manufacturing process requirements following our product lifecycle mechanisms.
This position collaborates across design engineering, program management, supply chain and manufacturing and New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to meet our customer goals along with ongoing process improvements.
The ideal candidate is a creative, demonstrated technical leader with deep understanding and experience of engineering disciplines related to operations, automation, sequence, flow and process. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. You must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, and work to improve the customer experience. Having Aerospace or Automotive manufacturing experience is a plus.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Building DFX (Assembly, test, Quality, Cost) platforms that enable a scaled manufacturing operation by integrating requirements into our Product Lifecycle with design engineering
Development and implementation of all manufacturing processes from concept through end of product life for manufacturing and material replenishment systems with department leader
Influence the manufacturing automation systems roadmap
Manage automation systems integrators and deployment to manufacturing.
Partner with supply chain and design engineering to enable efficient material handling and build across our manufacturing and supply chain network
Experience with complex program management processes to meet customer goals
Experience driving lean 6 sigma across the team and broader organization
Management of Manufacturing capacity planning with manufacturing leadership
Process design and simulation and modeling to meet Prime Air roadmap
Aligning assembly time roadmap and process stage tact time into engineering development phases
Plan and measure expense and capital budget to meet customer delivery goals
Develops mechanisms in collaboration with quality team for production certification and AS9100 standards
Recruits, coaches and develops organizational talent to scale operations globally
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering or equivalent required.
Proven track record of successful product development within a regulated environment.
Minimum of 10 years of management experience with multiple direct reports.
Experience working in a multidisciplinary team setting bringing products from conception through market release and beyond.
Expertise with the development of complex manufacturing systems following product lifecycle mechanisms
Experience working with external suppliers for the development of new processes and innovation to scaled manufacturing
Understanding of Lean 6 sigma, FMEA and assembly simulation techniques for proof of concept
