The Opportunity
Responsible for developing and maintaining analytical tools and models for forecasting purposes, and provide timely and accurate forecasts for business operations and risk management
The Work Itself
* Practice strong analytical skill to interpret data to produce meaningful forecast
* Identify relationships and trends in data and any factors that may affect the results of research
* Report results of statistical analyses, including information in the form of graphs, charts, and tables
* Research historical data to map trends and determine how they will influence the business
* Write SAS code to perform complex data extraction from multiple, large data sources as well as complex data aggregation, cleaning, and quality checking
* Communicate forecast results to users and stakeholders
* Perform special projects/assignments as needed
* Develop financial or business plans
The Skills You Bring
Requirements:
* 3+ years experience in statistical/mathematical modeling/analysis
* 3+ years performing complex data extraction and cleaning from multiple, large data sources
* 3+ years programming in SAS and using associated tools (E.G., macros, etc.)
* Experience developing and maintaining automated data processes and structures
* Software applications or programming to use for statistical modeling and graphic analysis
* Advanced knowledge of Excel, including pivot tables and visuals
* Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server databases
* Flexible attitude, ability to perform under pressure
* Ability to achieve balance between the right technical and business solution
* Outstanding analytical skills and ability to effective handle complex projects in a timely manner
* Passion for crafting leading edge solutions to complex business problems
* Appetite for career advancement through expanded responsibility
* Desire to learn new things and work on different teams
* Interest in solving the puzzle (intellectual curiosity)
* Objective thinking and perspective (courage of our convictions)
Preferred:
* Experience collaborating with partners to understand data requirements
* Experience creating data quality rules and testing activities
* Practical experience programming in Python, R, or similar
* Knowledge of and experience with Viz Tools (Tableau, power BI etc.)
* Experience in consumer financing industry (auto, mortgage, etc.)
* Experience in Regression, logistic regression, time series model, vintage model, roll rate base model

It operates through Automotive Finance Operations, Insurance Operations, Mortgage Finance Operations, and Corporate Finance Operations segments. The Automotive Finance Operations segment offers automotive financing services, including providing retail installment sales contracts, loans and operating leases, term loans to dealers, financing dealer floorplans, other lines of credit to dealers, warehouse lines to automotive retailers, and fleet financing.
