You Will Be Responsible For:
* Receiving Duties and Job Responsibilities:
* Inspects and accepts deliveries, ensures product delivered matches packing slips, and identifies location to which the packages/supplies/equipment are to be delivered.
* Accurately completes replenishment, picking, and receiving processes in computer to ensure accurate record keeping.
* Meets customer needs by receiving items efficiently and accurately. Ensures overnight packages are processed and delivered quickly.
* Tags Capital Equipment upon receipt, communicates all needed information to purchasing around the asset (i.e. item description, PO , asset tag number, serial number, etc.).
* Resolves invoice match exceptions due to receipt discrepancies related to purchase orders.
* Prepares items for return and ensures pick up of goods once an RTV or RGA has been issued. Resolves delivery errors with supplier when items are received in error (e.g. mispicks, wrong UOM, wrong destination).
* Delivers supplies, equipment, packages to customers taking care to obtain location delivery information
* Distribution Duties and Job Responsibilities:
* Picks up return items following established guidelines. Performs daily par cart inventories, picks order, confirms orders, and delivers supplies to assigned par areas. Provides feedback on par level adjustments to supply chain leadership.
* Establishes relationships with nurses in assigned areas to ensure collaboration between clinical departments and supply chain.
* Performs requisitioning as needed in assigned par areas.
* Ensures par areas are orderly, properly tagged and sufficiently stocked to meet customer needs.
* Properly disburses all materials to various locations in the facility as per established route and schedule. Special attention is given to refrigerated supplies and overnight packages.
* Maintains warehouse and other assigned areas in clean, safe and organized manner.
* Maintains conversion items and substitutes by communicating with clinical and departmental staff.
* Assists with updating data associated with product conversions.
* Participates in design or maintenance of par location item layout.
* Performs other related duties as requested by authorized personnel
Qualifications
What You Will Need:
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
* Possesses basic math skills.
* Pays attention to detail.
* Communicates clearly and effectively in English. Can communicate directly with delivery drivers and clinicians.
* Has computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
* Can identify, sort and count accurately.
* Critical thinking and analytical mindset
* Exhibits familiarity with shipping and billing procedures.
* Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize departmental priorities
* Ability to process large shipments in an organized manner
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS PREFERRED:
* Demonstrated ability to use an ERP system.
* Understands medical terminology and products
* Demonstrates knowledge of inventory, receiving, replenishment and par level concepts
* Understanding of receiving processes and basic materials management.
* Ability to operate material handling equipment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
* HS Diploma or GED or 1 year work experience
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
* 6 months in supply chain
* 6 months in customer service setting
* Peoplesoft experience
Job Summary:
This position will be responsible for receiving incoming supplies and equipment and handling the supply replenishment process of par locations. Receiving responsibilities include: putting away supplies in the storeroom, scanning receiving documents, delivering supplies to departments, handling returns to supplier, tagging equipment, and completing all associated computer software tasks to ensure accurate record keeping. The supply replenishment process includes straightening, counting, picking, and stocking supplies for specific areas then completing any paperwork or computer software tasks needed to account for inventory movement. The Supply Chain Receiving and Distribution Techs serve as the materials gatekeepers for their hospital, ensuring the facility only pays for items that are actually received and are the representatives of the supply chain to nurses and other clinicians in their assigned areas.
