Job Description
The System Test Engineer (STE) for Infotainment Feature Validation is responsible for testing the User Interface aspects of Infotainment features to ensure that the system is functioning per requirements. The STE will be responsible for testing on various vehicle programs where these features are present. Features include, but are not limited to: Driver Notification, License Compliance, Trailer User Experience, System State, Vehicle Customization, Off-Road App, and Audio function. The STE will work closely with the Lead System Validation Engineer, and System Engineers to understand the given requirements in order to create and execute test plans and methods to validate the intended functions.
* Work within a team to coordinate validation efforts for the feature.
* Perform integration bench level testing.
* Create, manage and execute test plan
* Develop test methods and models to be able to test critical components within the system
* Automate test scripts and work with HIL setups to execute test procedures in a closed loop model environment
* Capture and analyze data to troubleshoot issues
* Issue PRTS to document issues
* Generate and release testing reports
* Provide interface for team to other departments and suppliers
* Develop and lead test methods in this growing area
* Travel as required
Additional Job Description
Required Skills:
* Bachelors of Science in Engineering, IT, Physics, Math, Chemistry, and/or Computer Science required
* Minimum of 2 years professional experience
* High level of oral and written communication skills.
* High level of organizational skills - Able to manage multiple projects across multiple programs.
* Able to work within a team of engineers and communicate issues and testing results effectively.
* Ability to act as a single voice for bench level testing for assigned subsystems.
* Understanding of engineering theory and principles of operation of mechanical/electrical mechanisms.
* Knowledge of CAN based communication.
* High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and complex.
* High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others.

* Test case authoring
* Software/Calibration proficiency
* Knowledge of System Design
* Scripting and automation proficiency
* Understanding of automotive wiring/architectural design documents
