Job Role and Responsibility:

Lead development of a product vision for a best-in-class hybrid cloud management offering. Plan, direct, and coordinate product activities/strategy for assigned offerings. Provide leadership to the product management team and maintain responsibility for strategy and execution for VMware Cloud Foundation product. Develop, champion, and execute product vision, strategy and roadmap in support of organizations goals and objectives. Collaborate with Product Marketing team in collateral generation for sales and customer enablement, serving as an authority on product lines. Review project plans and coordinate cross-functionally to define, develop, and implement product strategy to meet corporate business objectives. Collaborate with business stakeholders, user experience, IT, and engineering teams during discover to assess value, usability and feasibility of commerce capabilities. Apply engineering/technical expertise to perform product management activities, including internal, customer and partner product communications, competitive analysis and pricing, product requirements, development of technical materials and analysis of market trends. Build unrivaled differentiators for VMwares products based on market analysis and customer feedback, promoting these in social media, user groups, and conferences. Consult and work closely with Engineering teams to assess product need and ensure product and platform architecture is aligned with product roadmap. Interface with customers and channel to gain and maintain segment-specific knowledge and understanding of product use. Author product collateral including white papers and business & technical presentations. In connection with the above duties, apply knowledge and/or skills of Python, Perl, or similar scripting language (like Shell); Linux systems administration; Network design and management; Virtualization products.
