Job Description:
* Serve as a Team Lead to bring Caterpillar Electric Rope Shovel group and regional resources together to improve the product performance of the ERS fleet
* Perform data analytics and investigation to uncover opportunities to improve the reliability and durability of the ERS product
* Possess knowledge of reliability engineering, capable of speaking the mining equipment reliability language with dealers and customers
* Provide visibility to product performance at certain critical sites via regular communication and reporting to the ERS leadership teams
* Influence ERS Leadership to accelerate and to deliver interim containment and permanent corrective actions and support that mitigate the impact of product issues
* Work with people from many different backgrounds and cultures, internally and externally, with the appropriate influence and ability to resolve differences
* Confront complex issues or problems which require careful analysis and diagnosis
* Serve as a Continuous Product Improvement Lead to resolve systemic issues using Six Sigma methodologies
* Serve as a Continuous Product Improvement Lead to process Safety and Compliance related activities
* Possess a deep understanding of the product support related publications, capable of taking action to improve and maintain the quality of customer facing documentation
Basic Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university.
Top candidates will also have:
* 3 plus years experience of Mining Equipment and maintenance practices and applications, such as in reliability engineering and product problem management
* Excellent interpersonal skills to deal with sensitive issues, develop others, or persuade others inside and outside the business unit and Caterpillar to take specific actions
* Proficient with data analytics, excel and database management
