The responsibilities include,
* Development & Implementation of Process Analytical Technology (PAT) Tools
The role will involve the development, qualification and implementation of vibrational spectroscopy (FT-IR, Raman, and NIR) and multivariate data analysis (MVDA) based PAT capabilities for real time monitoring of bioprocess. The scope of the projects may include establishing Closed-loop process control and the use of advance data interrogation techniques such as machine learning and deep learning as necessary. The candidate will work with cross functional teams within the Biologics Development organization including but not limited to Analytical, Upstream, Downstream, IT and Automation to deliver results.
* Process Analytical Support on Late-Stage Commercial Development Projects
This function is focused on providing analytical testing support to late-stage biologics process development projects. The successful candidate will work closely with process development (Upstream & Downstream) groups to align with their testing needs. Typical analytical testing support includes the execution of SOP-driven methods (HPLC, UPLC, CE-SDS, and iCE...etc.), data analysis, interpretation and reporting of results in timely manner.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with analytical and process stakeholders to establish vibrational spectroscopy and MVDA based PAT capabilities for real time monitoring and control of bioprocess.
* Provide analytical testing support on late-stage biologics process development projects.
* Contribute on data management, visualization and interrogation initiatives.
* Gain internal and external visibility through high quality publications and presentations.
Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have,
* Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry or relevant discipline with 0-2 years or M.Sc. with 4+ years of relevant experience in Biopharmaceutical or Pharmaceutical industry.
* A strong background in employing MVDA modeling techniques including but not limited to PCA, PLS, SVM, and Cluster analysis of vibrational spectroscopic data (FT-IR, Raman, NIR).
* Expertise of using one or more of the following MVDA software platforms; MATLAB, Unscrambler, SIMCA, Python and/or OPUS.
* Well experienced in using one or more of the following data visualization packages; TIBCO Spotfire, Tableau, and/or CMET.
* A proven track record of accomplishments through scientific publications, presentations and project completion records.
* Knowledge and expertise in using Closed-loop process control, machine learning and deep learning application for bioprocess are highly desirable but not required.
