Human Resources Business Partner

The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) executes and aligns enterprise and local human capital strategies in support of short- and long-term business objectives for assigned client groups/geographies. The HRBP serves as a consultant to line management on areas such as organization design, employee relations, performance management, employee engagement, leadership coaching, talent development and workforce planning. Further, the HRBP will serve as an advocate for employees and partner with Human Resources Centers of Excellence to ensure enterprise programs are deployed and fully integrated within the business in the areas of talent management, compensation, employee relations, talent acquisition and HRIS. The HRBP will continuously assess and anticipate business needs and work with line management to develop effective HR solutions. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business units strategic focus and financial position, its value proposition, culture and competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

* Serve as influential partner in driving best solutions for all aspects of employee lifecycle.
* Communicates regularly with line management to ensure awareness of current issues and needs.
* Through ongoing, effective consultation, deploy HR enterprise strategy to client group.
* Consult with line management providing proactive HR guidance when appropriate.
* Serve as employee advocate and provides coaching and guidance on employee issues.
* Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with specialist teams to develop Human Capital solutions, programs and policies as appropriate.
* Manage and resolve employee relations issues that are not elevated to the employee relations department. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as needed/required.
* Provide day to day performance management guidance to line management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Facilitates quarterly/annual performance management process/goal setting within client group.
* Work closely with management and employees to improve overall work environment, culture of inclusion, build morale, increase productivity and retention.
* Provide HR Policy guidance and interpretation.
* Assist and facilitate opportunities for growth for promotions, transfers and equity adjustments.
* Provide guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning, succession planning and realignment.
* Identify training needs for employees and individual client coaching needs.
* Maintain knowledge of client group including structure and job architecture, compensation and bonus plan designs, personnel changes/actions; develops partnership with business to ensure HR is aware of changes to structure and integral to decision making regarding changes (hires, terminations, promotions, salary changes, etc.).
* In conjunction with compensation department, facilitates annual merit planning process and ensures comparable pay for comparable positions within client group.

Basic Qualifications:

* Minimum of 6 years of HR Generalist experience.
* Bachelors Degree in business or related field.

Other Qualifications:

* PHR Certification preferred.
* Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines including organizational development, management coaching and consultation, compensation practices, talent attraction, employee relations, diversity, performance management, federal and state respective employment laws.
* Excellent consultative communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to identify metrics and analyze human capital trends.
* Excellent client management and business literacy skills.
* Strong conflict management, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Ability to develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.
* Experience in supporting field-based client group.
* Ability to multi-task, work independently and effectively manage multiple competing priorities.
* Must be flexible and have the ability to interact with employees at all levels.
* Ability to take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.
