What you'll do:
Provide automation and controls engineering support to Pepsi Beverages North America (PBNA) Supply Chain, by working on capacity and innovation, infrastructure and cost management projects as well as strategic initiatives. The individual in this position will provide project management and input for the automation and controls portion of CAPEX approvals at PBNA manufacturing locations. This position works closely with Operations, Packaging and Product Development, Procurement and external suppliers. This position is responsible for supporting plant standardization and serving as a technical liaison to beverage plant locations.
Basic understanding of operational technology, including industrial hardware (PLCs, VFDs), software (Rockwell, Wonderware, Zarpac), networking (CPwE), Thin client Architecture and Virtualization Technology (VMWare).
Knowledge about installation and configuration of various software applications (e.g., Rockwell software, Thingworx, DVC applications).
Ability to learn required application development and/or work with technology vendors.
Functional understanding in project management and plant operations.
Basic project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiar with basics of finance. Able to effectively manage and track project spending and report financials on a regular basis.
Solid communication and presentation skills with an ability to communicate with vendors, contractors and consultants.
Team building skills required to manage and work with cross-functional teams at a corporate or plant location.
Self-motivated, results and action oriented. Able to make independent and sound decisions at the proper authority level.
Computer skills to include familiarity with spreadsheet and word processing software, basic CAD skills and ability to utilize MS Project and other project tracking software systems.
Strong SharePoint and Office 365 skills to develop and maintain project trackers and web hosted applications.
Qualifications/Requirements

* Degree Preferred: Bachelor
* Majors Preferred: Electrical Engineering
Minimum Requirements:
BS Degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, other Engineering degrees considered.
* Minimum of 1 year of Engineering experience, with a focus on project management and installing hardware/software applications for manufacturing operations.
* Basic understanding of plant operations.
* Able to travel; individual can expect to be out of the office up to 25% of the time to facilitate and participate in plant projects.
