Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systemshas an opening for a Systems SecurityEngineer to join our Joint STARS cybersecurity systems engineering team ofqualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Melbourne, Florida.

This position requires experience withcybersecurity standards and methodologies based on DoD, National Institute ofStandards and Technology (NIST), Committee on National Security SystemsInstruction (CNSSI), and risk Management Framework (RMF) processes, policies,and guidelines. This position also requires knowledge and experience usingsystems engineering methodologies and techniques.

The successful candidate must beable to perform assessments of security controls, prepare technical documents,support ongoing authorization inputs, develop procedures/processes/policies,and work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimal direction. This roleis responsible for cybersecurity systems engineering duties as assigned. Engineeringexperience with effective program execution and mission assurance is animportant skill for a successful candidate in this position. The successfulcandidate should thrive in a fast-paced environment with high expectations,diverse assignments, and constant collaboration across all levels.

Essential Functions:

* Apply knowledge and experience using systems engineeringmethodologies and techniques

* Requirements development and analysis including supportingtrade studies

* System architecture and modeling

* Preparation of technical documents, support of ongoingauthorization inputs, development of procedures

* Interface with other cyber functional areas, internalcompany management
and executives with a focus on effective program execution and missionassurance.

Qualification

BasicQualifications for a Cyber Systems Engineer:

* Bachelors degree in a Science,Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited universityand 2 years of related experience OR

* Masters degree in a Science,Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accrediteduniversity and 0 years of related experience

* This position requires an active andin-scope (investigation within 6 years) DoD Secret level security clearance.

PreferredQualifications:

* Experience with DoD system securityengineering activities

* Experience with Risk ManagementFramework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), andrequirements development from controls

* Possess an active appropriatecertification as required by DoD Directive 8570.01-M for an InformationAssurance System Architect Engineer (IASAE) Level II position

* Engineering experience (systems,software, test) with DoD weapon systems

* Experience with DoD certification andaccreditation (C amp;A)/Assessment and Authorization (A amp;A) activities,security processes, and documentation/reporting using DIACAP, NIST, CNSSI, orNISPOM guidance as required

* Knowledge of work products resultingfrom guidance in the RMF (NIST SP 800-52) and NSSI (CNSSI 1253)

* Knowledge and experience usingsystems engineering methodologies and techniques

* Knowledge of work products resultingfrom the application of the RMF to the DoD (DoDi 8500.01 Cybersecurity)

* Knowledge of work products resultingfrom the application of NIST 800-171 (controlled unclassified information)
