Affiliate Marketing Manager
The Global Media Team is responsible for planning, activating and fiscally managing all media spend across Microsoft. The team works across business groups to tie business objectives, insights and innovation together to drive business impact through world-class media strategies, plans and results. The team's responsibilities extend to driving market intelligence and contributing to Microsoft's media innovation across media channels and ad tech.
The open role on the Global Media team is for an Affiliate Marketing Manager. Affiliate Marketing is a marketing arrangement by which an online retailer pays commission to an external website/publisher/partner for sales generated from its referrals. Microsoft's affiliate program contributes to Microsoft's growth in the 'Direct to Consumer' commerce marketplace by offering consumers a compelling online destination to buy Microsoft products such as Surface, Xbox, Windows PCs, Office 365. The Microsoft Global Affiliate program is rapidly growing and available in more than 25 countries around the world. The Affiliate Marketing Manager will lead global affiliate operations, program management and affiliate planning and execution for North America. As an Affiliate Manager, you will partner closely with Affiliate Networks, Partners, Technical Support team, Analytics and Reporting team and In-Market Global Media Affiliate Managers. You will develop innovative plans for North America that generate revenue for Microsoft Stores by rewarding customers for purchasing products and services that empower every individual on the planet to achieve more. You will also be responsible for managing multi-million dollar budgets, forecasting, commissions, invoice management, and working alongside compliance and legal teams that are among the best in the business. Key responsibilities:
* Planning:
* Support quarterly briefing cycles with the help of regional digital leads and create, manage and maintain the quarterly global affiliate Forecast
* Plan and recommend affiliate tactics for North America that support the product lifecycle strategy
* Financial Management:
* Track, report and manage all affiliate investment on a weekly basis including media spend, commissions, and fees
* Ensure financial accuracy, timeliness and compliance with all Microsoft policies (such as opening Purchase Orders on time and within budget)
* Project Management:
* Own management of affiliate campaigns which includes: stakeholder meetings and communications, campaign briefing and updates, site tagging, creative/copy management and posting of assets, tracking weekly pacing and performance, monthly reporting and global roll ups
* Educate stakeholders on affiliate campaign processes and opportunities on an on-going basis as part of RDS calls, monthly business reviews and stakeholder onboarding.
Qualifications:
* West Coast based and able to conduct frequent meetings with APAC
* Bachelor's Degree in Business, Advertising, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred
* 1+ year(s) minimum experience in media, marketing, or advertising on the client or agency side OR equivalent experience required
* Affiliate Marketing experience preferred
* Demonstrate outstanding collaboration across an organization and multiple job functions
* Proficient knowledge on how to develop and use excel and pivot tables for tasks such as managing budgets and tracking performance
* Demonstrate ability to learn new technology and adapt to new processes
