As a developer in Microsoft Azure Cognitive Services Reinforcement Learning team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing cloud-based products that solve complex enterprise scenarios by utilizing reinforcement learning. You will be creating end-to-end solutions using the latest in cloud technologies to run machine learning algorithms at scale.

This position requires an engineer with demonstrated experience in backend services to help lead the next generation of Azure Cognitive Services. You will be expected to deliver maintainable well tested code, be a technical leader for your product area, work collaboratively with other Azure Cognitive Services teams and leverage user telemetry to measure the impact of your work.

Experience in machine learning and cloud technologies is desirable but not required. Intern positions will also be considered.

Upon joining the team, you will:

* Design and develop machine learning SaaS services.
* Design and develop machine learning pipelines that perform in high load production environments.
* Design and develop products against the latest in reinforcement learning algorithms.
* Enable customers to leverage various machine learning scenarios to drive tangible business impact.
* Provide feedback and help to improve our day-to-day development process and live site maintenance.

Required Qualifications

* A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent alternative education, skills, and/or practical experience.u202F
* 3+ years of software development experience.
* Experience developing APIs and client libraries (SDKs).
* Excellent coding skills, including server-side language experience (Java, C, and/or C++).
* Familiarity with modern software engineering practices of unit testing, continuous integration and deployment.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience building hosted products that handle scalable workloads.
* Experience building Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence products, services or features.
* Experience working with cloud platforms.
* Experience working with web service frameworks (ASP.NET Web API, OData, Swagger).
* Experience with distributed technologies (Kubernetes, Docker Containers, Azure Batch).
* Experience with streaming technologies (Flink, Kafka, Spark).
