The selected candidate will assist managing the Quality program of the SWFPAC Calibration Laboratory located at Naval Base Kitsap - Bangor in Silverdale, WA. This role requires daily interface with calibration technicians, metrologists, management, and government representatives. Performs reviews and inspections of program artifacts/deliverables and associated activities to assure quality requirements, processes, and standards are met. Analyze measurement data to ensure quantitative measurement effectiveness and to eradicate defects. Assess calibration systems that measure characteristics of objects, substances, or phenomena, such as length, mass, time, temperature, electric current, luminous intensity, and derived units of physical or chemical measure. Plan, manage and perform process and product evaluations (audits). Other duties include, but are not limited to:
POC for all external audits
Ensure laboratory inspection preparedness
POC with government customer on all quality matters
Maintain vendor assessment program
Annual review and maintenance of Quality Manual and Quality Assurance Plan
Prepare and present Quality metrics
Perform annual Calibration Stamp Audit
Coordinate annual system audits
Conduct Quality Verification Inspections (QVIs) on T&ME processed in the lab
Lead weekly Quality Deficiency Report (QDR) meetings
Participate in Continuous Improvement projects and Root Cause Analysis as requested
Perform metrology quality assurance functions as required to measure and educate technician performance(via constructive feedback).
Perform trend analysis
Maintain and improve the salaried employee training dashboard for the Compliance Coordinator group
Lead the Risk and Opportunity management program in the lab

This opportunity requires the ability to work independently and with a team, be a self-starter and be flexible. Candidate must qualify for and maintain a Secret security clearance. An Interim Secret clearance will be required in order to start.

Basic Qualifications:
Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills.
Technical skills to evaluate calibration system performance including the ability to identify technical, procedural, and material problems during Quality Verification Inspections (QVIs).
Possess an understanding of Procedural Compliance as it pertains to following U.S. Government regulations and Company operating procedures.
Punctual, responsible and accountable.
Proficient using Excel, Power Point, Access, Word, and Sharepoint in a Windows environment.
Ability to work well in a professional team environment with internal and external customers
Detail oriented.
Ability to climb shipboard ladders.
Ability to support limited domestic travel.
Bachelors degree in a technical field, such as in Physics, Mathematics, Engineering, Statistics, etc. or actively pursuing Bachelors degree in a technical discipline and within 1 year of completion, combined with a minimum of 2 years of related experience.
Interim Security Clearance and US Citizenship required to start with the ability to acquire and maintain a DOD Secret Security Clearance.
Cannot have dual citizenship.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of ISO/IEC17025:2017 requirements.
Knowledge of collecting and analyzing metrics and using statistical controls.
Critical thinking and analytical skills.
Experience with peer review or process auditing.
Knowledge of lean six sigma and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to cultivate effective working relationships.
Experience in Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action.
