The Space Security Division within Lockheed Martin Spaces Mission Solutions business area is seeking a Project Engineer to support the execution of multiple projects/programs. This engineer will directly and indirectly support the execution of classified programs and unclassified product line development via a combination of direct program work and indirect support, engineering planning, and cost and schedule organization. This position will report into the Engineering & Technology organization of Space.
Candidate must be able to effectively communicate, organize and execute multiple projects and/or proposal efforts simultaneously. Candidate must have the ability to adapt to agile methods that will require a dynamic execution approach depending on the time-phased needs of the program.
Specific responsibilities:
Status accountability
Gather & consolidate metrics from the product lines
Manage weekly business rhythms
Cost account management
Support weekly customer tag-ups
Schedule updates & dependency tracking (MS Project experience a plus)
Support proposals coordination, BOE development, etc.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Active DoD TS or TS/SCI Required. Current access to one of the Space Security Programs is a plus.
Basic Qualifications:
Project Management or Project Engineering experience on a Software Development-focused program or project
Cost account management or EVM experience
Experience with MS Project, creating and maintaining a program schedule
Proposal support including cost estimating / bill of materials / BOEs
Strong interpersonal skills
Desired Skills:
Active DoD TS or TS/SCI
Experience supporting geographically dispersed team
Demonstrated organization and execution experience on mid to large size programs
Experience supporting multiple programs, contracts, efforts in parallel
Recent experience as Product Owner, Scrum Master, and/or Release Train Engineer
Experience with customer relationships
Agile certifications (e.g. Product Owner, Scrum Master, SAFe, etc.)
