Providence Health Fairfield is looking for Med Tech, PRN join their team.
Providence Health-Fairfield is an Emergency Room in Winnsboro, South Carolina, providing quick and easy access to high quality emergency care for the community of Fairfield County. As a patient, you will be cared for by staff specially-trained to respond to any type of medical emergency with the latest technology to provide a broad range of diagnostic and treatment options on-site.

Essential Functions
* Performs established procedures for testing specimens for all age groups serviced
* Performs and documents quality control procedures; evaluates results and implements corrective action when indicated.
* Assists other department personnel and performs technical duties as required.
* Uses judgment in reporting laboratory data for all age groups serviced.
* Performs and documents daily, monthly, and as needed preventive maintenance.
* Processes and/or assists with processing samples for testing including use of currently available laboratory computer programs.
* Participates in training new employees and students.
* Troubleshoots equipment/instruments when malfunctioning and takes appropriate action(s).
Job Requirements
Minimum Work Experience
Completion of a MT / MLTprogram with clinical rotations. One to three years as a generalist or as aspecialist in specific area.
Minimum Education
* Bachelorsdegree plus successful completion of a technologist level exam given by ASCP.-or
* Bachelorsdegree plus successful completion of a medical technology program and iseligible to sit for a technologist level exam given by ASCP. or
* Associatedegree in clinical laboratory sciences from an accredited college orequivalent.
* Successfulcompletion of or eligible to sit for a technician level exam given by anational certifying agency.
