The Surgical Services Supervisor supervises daily staff activities for an assigned area or function.
Under minimum supervision, assists the Director of Surgical Services with planning, organizing, delivering, and coordinating patient care in the Operating Room, PACU, SDS department, PAT, and GI departments. Collaborates with the SDS Lead RN, Lead Scrub Technician, Sterile Processing Lead, and GI/ Heartburn Lead Nurse to organize and plan direct patient care activity to achieve the highest level of quality/ cost standards. Participates in direct patient care to maintain the clinical expertise and serve as a role model for the team. Assist in the orientation and continuing education of the staff members in the perioperative area by assisting with the implementation of all policies and procedures of the facility. Serves as a role model for professional nursing practice.

Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing as an Associate Degree/Diploma Nurse is required.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS,) ACLS and PALS certification are required.
Licenses
Current active license as a Registered Nurse in the State of NC or compact State.
Work Experience
Prefer candidate with Two (2) years of work experience.
