TITLE
Process Engineer
LOCATION
Lawrence, KS
REPORTS TO
Manager, Operations
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Analyzes process data to identify cost savings and process improvement opportunities
* Understands the process of producing finished product and provides support to improve current process
* Improves and administers proper documentation within the department
* Manages process recipes and supports MOC process in department
* Analyzes root cause of department related quality and productivity investigations
* Engineering Support Use of software and calculations to support good decision making within the department staff.
* Operation Support Must maintain Basic Knowledge (Qualification) of Lawrence operations
* Troubleshooting Support Must provide support teams with knowledge of equipment to troubleshoot issues and determine root cause
* Computer Aptitude Must be capable of using MS Office applications and computer based software applications to report quality information, downtime, and scheduling
SELECTION CRITERIA
Education
* A Bachelors degree in Engineering is required
Experience
* Previous co-op/internship experience in a manufacturing environment is required
* Experience in food manufacturing is preferred

* Project management skills
* Problem solving ability
* Solid inter-personal skills
* Ability to teach and lead others
* Open to managing operating teams as needed (as backup or future assignment)
* Can work off shift or weekends as needed
* Willingness to relocate for future opportunities is required
