Job Description
As part of the Intel Atom x86 low-power CPU Front End (FE) Design Automation Team, you will someone that helps drive the FE tools to automate the design flows for RTL designers and validation engineers. Specifically, you will be responsible for the Atom Emulation environment which includes, bring up of the emulation system and support for all emulation issues. This includes model compilation, transactor and test bench development as well as debug of system issues. You would be responsible to development tools and flows to provide emulation test bench results that can be seamlessly merged into the validation environment. You will be interfacing with validation, engineering computing group, tool vendors and other teams that are part of the emulation eco-system.
In this role responsibilities include, although not limited to:
* Develop and test Engineering Design Automation tools
* Creates flows/scripts to analyze and test design methodologies
* Specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion of projects
* Evaluate vendor practical capabilities to provide required products or services
* Design, deploy and test efficiency of tools to utilize in achieving design goals and collaborate with design teams on methodology development
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position.
Minimum Qualifications
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering and 6+ years of experience with: - OR - a Masters degree in Software, Computer or Electrical Engineering with 4+ years of experience with:
* Design and support RTL compile and debug efforts on simulation or waveform viewing systems (e.g. VCS, Verdi)
* Coding in general programming languages (e.g. SVTB, C, C++), hardware description languages (e.g., System Verilog) and scripting languages (e.g. Perl, Python, Tcl)
* Linux including shell scripting (e.g. csh, cshrc, rsh) and Windows
Availability to be located in Austin, Texas to work at Intel's Texas Design Center
