Responsibilitiesn

As an Investment and Product Solutions Analyst I in our Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS) Product Management area, youu2019ll partner with Sales and Service teams to package competitive quotes in order to sell and retain retirement plan business. You will provide analysis and solutions on the product & investment package to position us against our competitors. You will have the opportunity to learn and work on all the retirement plan pillars, which include defined contribution, defined benefit, non-qualified and employee stock option plans! In this role you will get to be innovative, think big picture while learning about the retirement industry. The Sales Engineering pricing team has a front row seat to all of our new product offerings and what is trending in the market place. You will network with many business partners daily. * Prepare fee quotes, including the pillars of our Total Retirement Suite, for assigned sales and service team areas or individuals.n
* Evaluate a prospect/clientsu2019 current investment lineup and offer solutions to support our asset management strategy.n
* Analyze the competitiveness of our fee quote and service package to consult with field partners and leaders, to put Principal in the best position to secure/retain business at established profit targets.n
* Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to internal and external customers.n
* Look at innovative ways to enhance current processes and procedures to align positively with business strategy and team developmentnn

Qualificationsn

Weu2019re looking for someone with:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experiencen
* 4+ years related experience requiredn
* Strong analytical skillsn
* This position requires registration as an Investment Company Products/ Variable contracts Limited Representative. Candidates hired without the appropriate registration(s) will have twelve months to acquire it.nn

Experience with the following is preferred:

* Basic knowledge of retirement aspects, including plan design, plan types/ various pillars, products and services, investments, and the competitive environment. n
* Baseline understanding of the competition, opportunities, and customer experiencen
* Experience working with defined benefit pension plans in an administrative or operational capacity.nn
