Reporting to: Head of Global Alliances

Location: US Region flexible but should be near major JLL facilities; such as, Chicago, NYC, Dallas, San Francisco, LA, or Atlanta

About JLLT Global Alliances:

JLLT Global Alliances fundamentally supports two key strategic functions for the division Investments and Partnerships. For Investments, Alliances is home to the Spark Growth Team, a group of Leads who provide strategic business support for the JLL Spark global portfolio of start-up companies (Portcos). This team is a bridge between the Portcos and JLL core businesses and its substantial client base. For Partnerships, Alliances also house the JLLT Partnering Team, a group of Leads who oversee relationships and new revenue-generating business opportunities for the divisions key and emerging external partners. The teams naturally work together allowing engagement between representing our Portcos to external partners for further growth outside of JLL, while also being able to route promising external partner technology for investment consideration by the Spark Fund or co-development opportunities within JLLT internally.

The Job:

This is a hybrid business development and strategic partnership position that requires growth leadership supporting both Spark Growth and JLLT Partnerships. You will need to interface with multiple stakeholders within the larger JLL eco-system as well as external clients. You will be expected to build strong ties with senior management from within JLL, the real estate industry, and major technology companies. This is not a job for the faint-hearted. The role requires sharp intellect, sound knowledge and an engaging personality aligned with the JLLT core values. We take our values seriously and would expect nothing less from you. This is a team sport and you will be aligning with colleagues across the globe to deliver go-to-market success. Creativity in solutioning is a must!

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

Spark Portfolio Representation:

* Thoroughly understand the JLL Spark global portfolio and the companies in which we have invested. The expectation is to be able to bring the portfolio up in casual conversations or formal presentations with internal or external stakeholders and articulate the value proposition of the Portcos with simplicity and enthusiasm.
* Build relationships with internal business leaders across the core JLL businesses understanding their needs and how Spark portfolio companies can help.
* Partner with JLL client teams to build key client relationships to surface potential opportunities for Portcos.
* Build incentive programs that provide programmatic exposure and distribution of portfolio company products through core JLL businesses.
* Represent JLL Spark and our Portcos at client and industry events.
* Work with Portcos to influence critical deals in their sales pipeline.
* Advise and guide Portcos on best practices as they build up their various go to market capabilities.

JLL/Technologies Partners Representation:

* Research and construct go-to-market account plans for an assigned set of named targeted Alliance Partners.
* Demonstrate command and insight into all products and solutions offered by JLLT and be able to match offering to Alliance Partner needs.
* Participate in or lead strategic alliance conversations with Technology majors that can and should result in opportunities to jointly develop and take cutting edge technology products to market.
* Liase with alliance organizations of technology majors across major markets and identify opportunities to create products that solve for clearly identifiable opportunities for the real estate eco-system.
* Be a spokesperson for our vision. You will represent JLL Spark Portcos, JLLT products and platforms in internal and public forums; presenting to key stakeholders and C-Suite management.
* This is a revenue role. Success will be clearly articulated, measured and owned.

Qualifications:

* 7+ years of experience in strategic sales, business development and/or sales management.
* You have a startup growth mindset and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment but have the polish necessary to interface with senior management at large technology companies.
* You have a clear track record of managing complex enterprise deals from intro to close.
* You can effectively measure your activities and impact they have on influencing deals closing.
* You are familiar with the commercial real estate industry or have extreme passion for this market and are willing to put the time in to become fluent.
* You use creativity and excellent judgment to find innovative ways to get the job done.
* You have a can-do attitude and are prepared to make informed, independent decisions.
* You are naturally curious and always looking for learning opportunities.
* You are excited to be a part of this team, are highly approachable by everyone and can represent our organization in a way that leaves lasting impressions.
* You have a bachelors or masters degree in a related field.
