Job Description

GDIT is seeking an HRIS Solution Architect who will be responsible for providing business and technical architectural guidance to development teams, business groups, and customers for existing and new products & services. The HRIS Solution Architect will assist with developing adoption strategies, business concepts and technical capabilities that maximize customer value while differentiating GDIT from their competition in the marketplace.

A Day in the Life of a GDIT HRIS Solution Architect:
* Supports business by shaping customer requirements, analyzing alternatives, providing recommendations, and developing appropriate technical and business solutions for implementation
* Conducts analysis of alternatives on a variety of options to determine the best solutions to support overall business goals and objectives
* Researches current and emerging technologies and process methodologies and proposing changes and tailoring where needed
* Assesses the system and business process architectures currently in place and works with staff to recommend improvements
* Ensures technical delivery teams provide efficient and effective system solutions to support business goals and objectives
* Develops, enhances and maintains established service design procedures and processes by applying frameworks and methodologies
* Prepares and presents technical presentations and analyst briefings
* Provides updates to stakeholders in comparison to stakeholder objectives
* Provides expert guidance and mentoring leadership to less-experienced colleagues
* Responsible for defining a concept of operations and the procedures and tools required to enable delivery of products and services
* Recognized as an industry leader or highly proficient in core HRIS technologies including experience with enterprise SaaS services and providers

Responsibilities
* Participate in planning activities to ensure awareness and representation of emerging technologies and capabilities
* Provide enterprise architecture deliverables such as systems information diagrams, security requirements and configuration specifications
* Support Project Manager(s) in defining project tasks, timeline, level of effort and priority
* Engage in the external benchmarking activities and communicate with broader IT architecture teams related to align products or services with the general technology environment and strategies
* Ensure IT solutions comply with technology and data standards and fit within the overall IT Enterprise architecture at GDIT
* Enable application rationalization, and configuration simplification through identification of opportunities to leverage systems and investments across business areas and territories

Core Competencies:
* A strong background in enterprise HCM including Workday and other HRIS application architectures and relevant industry trends and best practices. Experience with any combination of Workday modules including Data Analytics, Core HR, Compensation and Benefits, Payroll, Time and Labor, Recruiting, Talent Management, Learning Management, Performance Management, and Succession Planning.
* Understanding of standard project methodologies regarding project initiation, current state analysis, future state design, implementation and project transition/close.
* Experience with process design including: e.g. conducting design workshops and stakeholder requirements interviews.
* Possess strong interpersonal skills, relationship management and negotiation skills, strong verbal and written communication skills including presentations.
* Business partnership communication and engagement skills

In order to be considered:
* Bachelor's Degree
* 10+ years of relevant experience related to HRIS applications and information systems
* US citizenship is required

Preferred, but not required:
* Demonstrated experience with Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Data Governance or other emerging technologies

The likely salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000, this is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary; rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
