Job Description

GDIT is seeking Tier 1 Service Desk Technicians at all levels to provide technical support and troubleshooting to network, desktop, and/or systems hardware and software, in support of the USSOUTHCOM-SCITES Program.

Responsibilities:
* Monitor and control electronic computer and peripheral electronic data processing equipment to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions.

* Monitor and respond to operating and error messages.

* May enter commands at a computer terminal and set controls on computer and peripheral devices.

* Possess and apply a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments.

* Plan and lead major technology assignments.

* Evaluate performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success.

* Function as a technical expert across multiple project assignments.

* May supervise others.

Requirements:
* 3-5+ years hands-on experience in an Information Technology environment.

* DoD 8570.01 IAT-II certification (e.g., Security + CE or equivalent), current Computing Environment (e.g., MD-100) certification.

* Secret is required to start, must be able to obtain TS/SCI.

* Customer Support and ServiceNow experience a plus.

* Education: High School degree or GED equivalent
