ABOUT THE TEAM:
FIS is looking for a Strategic Planning Commercial Director to join our Trade & Compliance team. This person will ideally sit along the US east coast & will have the opportunity to work remotely with potential/light travel in the future.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING?
This position will primarily own and increase the sales and finance interlocks, while providing and arranging deal support with the businesses, to align and drive results.
* Establish strong revenue focused interlock relationship and cadence with regional sales teams
* Improve tracking tools and visibility to improve forecast accuracy in partnership with Finance
* Create financial models and analyses to evaluate solution proposals. Where appropriate, will develop alternative business models and deal structures to improve the deal economics and customer value proposition
* Support sales team in negotiating commercials terms and providing guidance on negotiation strategies and deal terms
* Oversee complex deal review and profitability analysis
* Manage internal review of client proposals with key internal stakeholders. Prepare and present transaction summary to relevant executive leadership.
* Drive best practices for deal structuring, and engage sales team
* Streamline the approval process with legal, finance and the business to deliver proposals faster with all necessary approvals; includes SLA review
* Find ways to further empower salespeople and diminish reliance on business unit and turn around better and faster pricing quotes by:
* automating and standardizing price lists and ensuring they are up-to-date and relevant
* drive towards higher levels of standardization of managed services pricing by working with the functions (CIO, CX, PS, Product Management) to enable us to have turn around quotes quicker
* Provide commercial input/analysis for new business development initiatives, new product pricing; margin review
* Analyze pricing trends in the market and benchmark studies in a rapidly changing landscape
WHAT YOU BRING:
The ideal candidate will have experience driving strategic plans and effectively communicating/presenting those strategies, as well as the ability to effectually engage with regional sales leaders, and other internal leaders, to track targets and streamline key deals.
* Experience directing, implementing and coordinating through cross-functional communications.
* Expert-level depth and/or breadth of skills, experience and proficiency in program and project management
* The ability to work on issues where analysis of situations or data require an in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives, implementing strategic policies, and evaluating criteria for obtaining results.
* Typically, 8-10 or more years of experience managing large, high risk, highly complex projects that may have high corporate visibility or be strategic to the corporation and 5 or more years of management/leadership responsibilities.
* You are very organized and detail-oriented; able to work with shifting priorities
* You love analyzing issues and devising efficiencies to better the client experience
