Develop Data Engineering solutions to support Portfolio Management, Research and Reporting Products across multiple advisors. If you have a passion for analyzing data, building innovative solutions, understanding data quality, and learning the domain, this might be the right opportunity for you!
The Team
The Senior Software Engineer will be part of a global Data Engineering team that focuses on building solutions supporting the common data needs of Equity, Fixed Income or High-Income businesses. You will have to develop a good understanding of the data, our products, and applications. You will be responsible for gathering requirements, analyzing data, conducting impact assessments, and building scalable and innovative solutions.
The Expertise You Have

* 3-7 years of experience in developing Oracle SQL and PL/SQL solutions
* Excellent data analysis and debugging skills with a focus on identifying data quality issues
* BS in Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experience
* Proven experience with Informatica, data quality tools, scripting languages, utPLSQL, Autosys and Agile Development
* Exposure to one or more of Snowflake, Cloud Technologies, Python and Tableau will be a plus

* Proficient in Oracle PLSQL and understand performance tuning
* Enjoy analyzing data, identifying gaps, issues, patterns and trends
* Independently analyze application dependencies and conduct impact assessment of changes
* Proven understanding of database design concepts - Transactional / Data mart / Data warehouse etc.
* Keen understanding of CI / CD process & tools and are passionate about delivering high quality software

History of Fidelity Investments

The Fidelity Fund was established in 1930, a year after the stock market crash of 1929 and before the Great Depression of 1933. The fund continued to operate until 1943 when it was acquired by Boston-based lawyer Edward C. Johnson II. At the time, the fund reported assets under management valued at $3 million. In 1946, Johnson II founded the Fidelity Management and Research Company, now Fidelity Investments, to serve as an investment advisor to the Fidelity Fund. When running the fund, Johnson’s objective was to buy stocks with a potential for growth, and not necessarily blue-chip stocks.
