Job Description

Etsy is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the SEO squad within the Marketing Technology initiative. Our aim is to craft, develop, and experiment to drive our organic inbound traffic to increase Etsys visibility and to grow our customers. SEO is an exciting fast-paced domain with lots of impact!

You will partner closely with engineers, product managers and marketing stakeholders to identify problems, experiment, and implement creative solutions.

This is a full-time role based in Brooklyn, NY (preferred) or remote.

About the Role

* You will be responsible for building and managing a team of hard-working engineers
* You will serve as a coach, mentor, and advocate for the engineers on your team.
* This role will work with other leaders within marketing technology and engineering
* You will work alongside product management, and marketing partners to prioritize and develop new capabilities and develop Etsys SEO strategy
* You will collaborate with other engineering teams and our analytics team to make a measured impact on organic inbound traffic.

Qualifications

* You have deep experience in software engineering management with a track record of successfully balancing short-term needs with long-term strategic investment.
* You have a strong technical background building scalable high-availability systems and integrations.
* You have experience managing multiple stakeholders and external vendors and can clearly articulate risks and dependencies on projects.
* You may have hands-on engineering experience working in the SEO, marketing technology, or ads space.
* You may have experience working in a two-sided marketplace and/or ecommerce.
