DaVita is currently seeking a Regional Operations Manager for our Patient Pathways SBI.

Patient Pathways is the nation's largest independent provider of discharge planning and placement services for acute dialysis patients across the country. We are in search of a strong operational leader to manage and support 37 hospital partner programs located across Oregon, Northern and Central California, and Reno, Nevada. This will be a remote position but the teammate will need to be located in Sacramento, Fresno, Reno or the surrounding areas and available for up to 75% travel across the territory.

The Role You'd Play as a Regional Operations Manager:

Team Leadership:

* Lead a remote team consisting of 18 Patient Pathways Dialysis Coordinators within the Patient Pathway program including but not limited to teammate relations, fostering a positive work environment, conducting annual performance and salary reviews, performance management, recruitment, retention, terminations, and related ePCNs
* Conduct regular update calls and operating reviews with each direct report
* Manage the hiring and onboarding process for Dialysis Coordinators in assigned territory
* Know, understand, implement and follow DaVita Teammate Guidelines and employment policies and procedures
* Schedule, organize and conduct new Growth teammate training, including both classroom training and on-site shadowing
* Regularly assess training content, making recommendations and modifications when necessary

Growth and Strategic Initiatives

* Implement new Patient Pathways Program across hospital partners
* Meet face to face with hospital partners to discuss current discharge processes
* Structure, introduce and train hospital partners on the Patient Pathway program
* Identify areas of improvement in the discharge process in individual local markets
* Conduct regular update check-ins with hospital partners and Patient Pathways management before, during, and after implementation
* Analyze, develop, and implement new ways for the company to differentiate itself in the marketplace
* Develop in-depth knowledge of the company's service offerings, markets, current market share within individual markets, market competition, and strategies to secure new business

Conduct Local Market Education, Awareness and Strategy

* Work cross-functionally with DaVita and Non-DaVita operations leadership across chronic and hospital services teams to introduce Patient Pathways
* Update local operations leadership on the progress and impact of the Patient Pathways program
* Discuss ongoing strategies for each market with Patient Pathways and field management

Dialysis Coordinator Coverage Assistance

* Provide coverage assistance at Patient Pathways partner hospitals as needed (including but not limited to covering during teammate PTO leave or position vacancies)

Reporting

* Analyze Patient Pathways reports for assigned territory including but not limited to patient volume for each Dialysis Coordinator and length of stay and readmissions metrics for territory and individual hospitals
* Analyze performance of each market and make recommendations on future action plans based on the analysis
* Provide management team with monthly updates regarding the above metrics

Experience Required for this Role:

* Minimum of two (2) years' management experience required; remote teammate management required; healthcare industry management experience preferred
* Minimum of two (2) years' project management and/or project implementation experience required
* Minimum of one (1) year experience demonstrating strong understanding of commercial insurance plans and benefits (PPO, HMO, POS, EPO, Indemnity) as well as government insurance programs (Medicare, Medicaid) required
* Operational or client management experience across multiple sites required
* Track record of developing strategies around growth and operational problem solving. Partnerships and influence are a part of your leadership tool set.
* Experience driving results for your book of business. You love KPIs and have already been successful in mobilizing resources to impact the teams performance. You love a good root-cause analysis and flow chart, and you use these things to track your teams success in achieving the goal.
* Education: Bachelors Degree Required; Masters preferred
* Travel: Availability for regional and some national travel; up to 75%
