We are seeking an experienced Physician Practice Manager to join our team! The Physician Practice Manager supervises the day-to-day clinic operations using effective leadership, organizational, analytical, process and problem solving skills to ensure the practice successfully meets its objectives and the needs of the Physicians in support of patient registration, scheduling, financial arrangements for services, patient chart preparation / filing, and patient care.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Physician Practice Manager to join our team! The Physician Practice Manager supervises the day-to-day clinic operations using effective leadership, organizational, analytical, process and problem solving skills to ensure the practice successfully meets its objectives and the needs of the Physicians in support of patient registration, scheduling, financial arrangements for services, patient chart preparation / filing, and patient care.

Responsibilities

* Manages daily operations at clinic sites and coordinates the work activities
* Insure physician and staff compliance with hospital policies and practices as related to the clinic
* Administer clinic policies and procedures in a consistent and timely manner
* Maintain a cost conscious approach to practice expenses, including time usage, materials and supplies
* Create and monitor financial reporting tools to ensure cost efficiencies
* Responsible for overall financial success of outpatient clinics
* Actively pursue and assist physicians in generating increased revenue
* Work with physicians and staff in orderly flow of patients to maximize number of patients treated in clinic
* Actively participate in preparation of annual operating budget
* Review financials and operations with physicians on a regular basis
* Comply with safety policies and procedures and initiate action to correct problems
* Promote quality by monitoring work processes and identifying opportunities
* Develop and maintain best practices
* Develop and chair committee for outpatient clinics
* Attend scheduled hospital and departmental meetings
* Assists the Director of Practice Management as needed in set up and marketing of the clinic practices
* Assist hospital CEO in the recruitment of physicians
* Assure patient medical information is retained and released in a confidential manner
* Increase utilization of hospital services
* Manage EMR/Billing
* May be required to perform additional duties, as assigned

Qualifications

* Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED Required. Associates Degree preferred
* Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/management experience in a medical office/clinic setting, preferably in a family practice, internal medicine, OB/GYN or neurology clinic
* American Heart Association (AHA) approved Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
* Knowledge of medical practices, medical terminology and coding
* Formal training in ICD9 and CPT Coding
* Expert knowledge of clinic office procedures, computers, billing systems and applications
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
