Job location: Austin, Texas or remote, United States work from home

This role is responsible for all sales and conservation aspects of the Direct to Consumer (DTC) Sales Call Centers for Cigna Supplemental Benefits (CSB). This individual will be responsible for building, managing, and continuously improving a DTC sales model that delivers competitive acquisition costs and exceeds monthly/annual sales targets. Products sold by team include Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Part D, and ancillary products. Current call center assets include a captive, telephonic sales and retention team of 35 licensed insurance agents based in Austin, TX and an external, outsourced call center with 10 licensed insurance agents. It should be noted that many of the captive agents work from a remote location.

Successful candidates will have significant management experience in an omni-channel sales call center with demonstrated experience motivating a team to achieve sales results and utilizing operational resources to drive adherence and manage costs. Experience in health insurance sales preferred. Ability to lead effectively in an environment governed by compliance is also essential. Strong cross-functional management skills are necessary to maximize effectiveness. This leader will also be responsible for supporting and managing a growth environment while focusing on best practices in sales process and technology integration/utilization.

Responsibilities

* Lead, coach, and develop the internal sales team concentrating on individual sales productivity along with meeting quotas, objectives, and goals.

* Lead, coach, and develop the conservation team concentrating on individual productivity and other performance measures versus objectives.

* Support, coach, monitor, and develop the outsourced sales team concentrating on individual sales productivity for both inbound and outbound sales along with meeting quotas, objectives, and goals.

* Monitors agent adherence and other effectiveness metrics. Modifies staffing, schedules, processes, and procedures to ensure the most effective operating model possible.

* Conducts regular check-ins with Supervisors and the agents to drive performance, ensure development, maintain licensure, and hold them accountable for achieving individual and team goals.

* Recruit new agents to the team given business need and coordinate appropriate training.

* Motivate team to sell, maintain compliance standards, achieve goals, and have fun.

* Manages interface with QA Department, monitors quality audit results, enforces appropriate behaviors, and makes adjustment to team processes and procedures as warranted.

* Builds and maintains relationship with core matrix partners to ensure success of the team.

Qualifications

* 10+ years of successful sales and people management in a call center environment

* BA/BS in business, communications, health care, or related field

* Strong leadership skills required in order to motivate, mentor, and inspire team members

* Solid knowledge of Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Part D, and ancillary products, regulations, and rules

* Solid understanding of call center technology, terminology, regulations, and environment

* Strength in gaining consensus across a multidisciplinary team (internal and external partners)

* Experience identifying sales call center performance gaps, ascertaining potential solutions, and effectively implementing

* Polished client and internal customer presentation skills

* Solid organizational and time management skills; ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously

* Willingness to travel 30% to Austin, Texas if not already based in Austin.

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
