Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Knowledge Expert-Team Manager (KE-TM) within BCG's Principal Investors and Private Equity (PIPE) Practice Area, you will work in a growing global team, providing industry and/or functional expertise and insights to clients and case teams. You will work together with case and proposal teams to provide knowledge assets, analysis and expert advisory. You will collaborate closely with business leaders, acting as a thought partner in providing advice and client-credible insight, for proposals, client workshops and commercial campaigns in the domain.

Additionally, as a Knowledge Expert, you will drive development of intellectual property, go to market materials, and publications for topics within the PIPE sectors. You will manage and develop a Knowledge Team to deliver against business priorities and be accountable for the team's KPIs on billability, work quality, and topic/sector content development.

BCGs PIPE Practice Area works with the worlds largest investment firms, serving six client asset classes: Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Infrastructure & Real Estate Funds, Family Offices, Sovereign Wealth Funds and Pension Plans. Likewise, PIPE topics cut across not only these asset classes, but also across industries and sub-topics (e.g., Commercial Due Diligence, Tech Capital, Private Credit, Operational Improvement, Middle Market, etc.). and industries (consumer, technology, industrial goods, etc.)
YOU'RE GOOD AT

* Leading problem solving and solutioning for clients and driving towards pragmatic solutions tailored to the business context
* Leading development and commercialization of knowledge and assets e.g. tools, sector or topic materials, in relevant area of private capital expertise
* Engaging and communicating with senior stakeholders, demonstrating expert presence and credibility
* Leading projects in a highly effective manner, mobilizing team to deliver on business priorities and commercial impact
* Acting as a highly effective coach and mentor, guiding team members to achieve goals efficiently and effectively
* Working in an ever changing and complex environment, and comfortable with ambiguity and navigating a fast-paced environment
* Project Management and people management experience preferred
* Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills to interact with and manage internal and external stakeholder while working in a global collaborative team environment

YOU BRING (EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS)

* 5+ years consulting experience required; candidates with consulting experience preferred
* In lieu of consulting experience, 7+ years minimum industry experience required; 10-14+ years of industry experience strongly preferred
* Bachelor's Degree required (advanced degree preferred)
* Experience in relevant PI or PE topic area preferred
* Fluency in English

The Knowledge Team (KT) is a group of functional and/or industry experts leveraging deep domain knowledge to enable insight for case teams and clients. KT members are affiliated to BCG Practice Areas, plugged into the strategic agenda and building and deploying leading edge IP data tools/assets to deliver insight

BCG's Knowledge Team members are staffed on cases and help co-create insights with case teams and clients through expert perspectives on industry trends, delivery of proprietary data or tools in a particular function and complex research and analysis of market information. KT members also support the PAs business development and proposals and help to organize and codify the knowledge that enables BCG to deliver superior business value for its clients.
