We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) within the AWS Kumo (AWS Trusted Advisor) organization. Our team is re-inventing how AWS Trusted Advisor offers best practices and recommendations to AWS customers. Trusted Advisor works to ensure AWS customers are operating their cloud environment efficiently and securely all while spending their money wisely. This is a challenging and highly visible position responsible for managing multiple projects and delivering results across multiple development teams. You will be responsible for identifying stakeholders, working with leadership to develop a vision, executing projects and delivering on our goals. TPMs handle complex inter-team dependencies and bridge the gaps in technical management. You will need to work with professionals in many different domains including product, engineering and support.
Successful candidates will have a technical background, be detail-oriented, have excellent problem solving and communication abilities, and poses a deep understanding of product design and implementation details. Candidates technical expertise and operational excellence will raise the bar and influence the teams decisions and drive secure and robust solutions which have great customer experience.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
5+ years experience as a technical program manager leading cross-functional teams to deliver complex software projects
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience collecting business and systems requirements from customers (inside and outside the organization), driving project schedules from design to release, and managing production launches
Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical individuals
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience building high-performance, highly-available, scalable distributed systems
Deep understanding of agile software development process
Demonstrated ability to dive deep in understanding our platform, our products, and the technical landscape
Knowledge and prior use of AWS services
Master's degree in a business or technology discipline or related field
Meets/exceeds Amazons functional/technical depth and complexity for this role
