Our location in Kansas City, MO currently has an opportunity for a Clinical Review Specialist I. In this role you are responsible for accuracy and integrity of the Workplace Solutions drug testing review process. This role communicates directly with donors to determine if there are factors which would explain drug test results that were confirmed to be positive or invalid.

WHAT YOULL DO

The Clinical Review Specialist will be part of an elite group of personnel providing support to Abbott Rapid Diagnostics, Workplace Solutions clients. This support includes, but is not limited to:

* Provide subject matter expertise in executing Drug Testing Services across Workplace Solutions broad customer base.
* Work closely with drug & alcohol testing staff and support to uphold and preserve the integrity of the clinical review process. Participate in process improvement discussions, in partnership with Workplace Operations Leadership.
* Interpret and report results of Workplace clients consistent with Workplace Solutions written Standard Operating Procedures.
* Review documentation for possible errors, speak with donors over the phone and determine if a legitimate medical explanation exists to explain a non-negative lab report.
* Provide feedback to laboratory and collection site representatives regarding performance problems, as needed.
* Provide feedback to clients and tested persons on problem cases.
* Participate in the development of annual Medical Services and Drug & Alcohol Testing Services Department goals and objectives
* Ensure adherence to applicable Abbott Rapid Diagnostics Quality policies & procedures
* Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOULL BRING

Required

* High school degree or GED required
* 3-5 years of experience in client services

Preferred

* Medical Assistant credential preferred
* Bachelors Degree preferred
* Call center / phone triage experience preferred
* Demonstrated interpersonal and collaboration skills.
* Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
* Composure and tact when communicating with individuals of varying education levels and professional statuses.
* Strong technical aptitude and ability to learn and utilize internal applications.
* Strong aptitude to learn and retain new technical or regulatory information and apply it to daily work.
* Ability to partner with other employees and supervisors
* Ability to provide input and recommendations on operations
