LKQ is looking for a dedicated Cross Dock Manager. The Cross Dock Manager will be responsible for all operational activities within the distribution center. The Cross Dock Manager oversees the operations of a distribution "cross dock" which serves to deconsolidate inbound truck loads and LTL shipments, and build outbound shipments of merchandise destined for sale in the LKQ/Keystone branch locations; including receiving of all products into system, control and audit vendor issues. This role would require compliance with established company policies and procedures.

Essential Job Duties:

Maintains the physical condition of the warehouse facility to reflect cleanliness, efficiency and organization.

Supervises all warehouse personnel, assigns tasks and duties on a daily basis, i.e., shipping and receiving of inventory and proper storage of parts.

Monitors accuracy of bin maintenance, stocking and transfer pulling to ensure customer satisfaction.

Monitors expense budgets for repair and maintenance of equipment and overall building expenses.

Communicates directly with purchasing department and/or Vendors on shipment errors and inventory needs and assists with scheduling all inbound overseas containers to be received.

Responsible for training and development of all warehouse personnel, to include hiring and evaluating employees.

Works directly with satellite managers on maintaining accurate delivery of stock orders and sold product transfers delivered on a daily basis.

Complies with all safety standards and requirements to assure a safe and hazard-free workplace.

Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ/Keystone Automotive Industries' quality improvement system.

Maintain daily, weekly, monthly reports assigned.

Assumes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Experience: High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent preferred. Additional computer training desired. The successful candidate will have management experience in transportation and material handling activities for high volume warehousing and/or freight consolidation trucking terminal operations. Experience should include operations, process development and documentation skills.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Supervisory responsibilities require excellent communication and organization skills with strong knowledge of personal computer use with skills in MSOffice. Budget creation and financial monitoring of operations, including service provider costing, cost statement analysis, and strong customer service emphasis. Must be attentive to detail and ensure accuracy in work assignments. Should possess special skills in the operation of a forklift and stock picker in negotiating the lift in close quarters. Must be familiar with the company's products and warehouse methods, techniques and procedures.

Machines, Equipment, and Software: Forklift, order selector, pallet jack, tow motor, pull cart, ladder, telephone, copier, fax machine, computer, and Microsoft Office software.

Essential Physical Demands/Work Environment: This position requires individuals to constantly be on their feet except when operating machinery or performing supervisory responsibilities. They must be able to stand for long periods, sit, walk, push, pull, bend, climb and be able to move/lift up to 75 pounds regularly. They must be able to climb ladders and stairs and withstand heights of more than 15 feet. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme cold and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud. Must have the flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends.

Preferred Qualifications:

College coursework desired. At least 5 years supervisory experience preferred. Bi-lingual English/Spanish candidate and experience in an environment using Lean/Toyota Production System techniques is a plus.

The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
