Responsibilities

Nurse Practitioner - Weekends (Saturday and Sunday)

Turning Point is seeking a Psych Certified Nurse Practitioner. A fantastic opportunity for a non-traditional work schedule! The Nurse Practitioner works closely with the Medical Director, Clinical Staff, and Nursing Staff to provide comprehensive mental health assessments, determine diagnosis plans, prescribe treatments, and manage mental health care regimens in collaboration with the designated physician.

This position is scheduled for two 10 hour weekend days (Saturday and Sunday) each week.

Qualifications

Qualified applicants will have:

* Master of Science in Nursing with certification as a Nurse Practitioner/Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with one of the accredited National Certification Organizations (ANCC, AANP).
* Licensed as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia; Certification with a National Certification Board
* Five (5) years of experience in the area of psychiatric/chemical dependency nursing.
* Knowledge and mastery of DSM-5 and biopsychosocial assessment.
