Job Description

Position Summary: The Jr. Financial Analyst supports the Portfolio Management team though the ownership of the eBusiness financial budgeting, forecasting, and monthly closing processes. This position will track budget actuals forecasts for each eBusiness pillar (thermofisher.com, fishersci.com, Foundational, and Connect). This position will act as the key PMO liaison into the finance organization supporting eBusiness and Digital Engineering.

Responsibilities:

* Work with DE Engineering Managers to manage monthly financial forecasts and resource allocations
* Maintain Digital Forecast spreadsheet
* Provide financial input to Monthly and Quarterly Business Reviews
* Perform a monthly audit function to confirm personnel and personnel rate changes and work with DE Engineering Managers, eBusiness Portfolio Managers, or Program Managers to confirm that the current data is accurate in all resource management tools
* Audit time charging expenses by individual resources on a weekly basis to ensure that personnel are charging correctly and follow-up with DE Engineering Managers, eBusiness Portfolio Managers, or Program Managers to resolve discrepancies
* Ensure consistent tracking of contractor resources (i.e. Holiday and PTO)
* Reconcile submitted hours against contractor invoices received
* Track outstanding hours submitted by contractor resources that have not yet been invoiced or paid
* Provide OPEX visibility to eBusiness Portfolio Managers
* Track budget trends and work with DE Engineering Managers and eBusiness Portfolio Managers to report on forecast vs. actual expenses
* Track and report on actual budget expenses by capability (ESM) for each pillar

Skills and Credentials:

* Associates degree in computer science, computer engineering, systems analysis, or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
* Experience in delivery of successful IT projects as project manager, such as eBusiness, IT, and Analytics projects.
* Proven ability to lead groups, manage project deliverables, and maintain customer relationships
* Experience in managing project plans and priorities.
* Demonstrated skills with project management tools. MS Office, expertise with Excel, Visio.
* Experience with Adobe Launch a plus.
* Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
* Proven interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, escalation and negotiation.
* Proven analytical and technical skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Excellent planning and organizational skills.
* Ability to apply multiple solutions to business problems.
