A fantastic career opportunity for a Assistant Director of Perioperative Services at Delray Medical Center, the area's premier Trauma Level 1 hospital. We are seeking an experienced clinical nurse leader whose visionary style and strong understanding of operating room and sterile processing services will continue to promote excellent clinical care within our nationally recognized facility.
The Assistant Director of Perioperative Services will have an opportunity to work with a rapidly expanding Surgical Services Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding f strategic business operations to grow the perioperative service line in alignment with the hospital's strategic objectives, reporting directly to the Administrative Director of Surgical Services.
Responsibilities include fiscal management, quality and performance standards assurance and human resource utilization. Must be able to implement action to close any gaps in benchmark performance and sustain standards.
Key Accountabilities:
Oversees quality patient care by setting standards for nursing/patient care that are based on perioperative practice speciality and are evidence-based and holding managers and staff accountable for meeting these standards. Evaluates staff training, work performance, staffing, assessments and oversees disciplinary processes as needed. Ensure the alignment of daily operations, delivery of services, staffing department needs within operational requirements and productivity goals. Demonstrate excellent clinical skills, models professional behavior and communication strategies.
Includes oversight for the Sterile Processing department through monitoring of the day to day activity, providing guidance in work place matters to the supervisor. Must maintain performance expectations for accreditation and infection control standards while driving operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:
Master's degree in Nursing, Healthcare of Business Administration is required.
Current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of FL.
BLS, ACLS, PALS required upon hire.
CNOR preferred.
Four plus years of Perioperative Nursing experience in a hospital setting. Strong knowledge/experience of operation for Sterile Processing.
Three plus years of progressive leadership experience. Able to direct operational issues 24/7 in a clinical environment. Highly effective analytical, organizational and strategic business planning skills preferred. Able to coach, mentor and drive change initiatives.
Knowledge of clinical information systems Cerner/Surginet. Knowledge of Excel, Word, Kronos and other systems required
