Position Summary
Create engineering application designs for customers and revise existing drawings, when necessary, in support of new product development. Determine the proper solution to meet our customers needs and accurate costs for each project. Perform other functions as determined by the Engineering Manager.

Responsibilities

* Complete CAD drawing creations or revisions as outlined by the appropriate requests to meet the customers needs and support the sales team. Drawing techniques will be as outlined by the appropriate requests and in accordance with ANSI Standard Y14.5M Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing and SSS CAD Standards
* Review all work for accuracy. Affirm that all required information has been incorporated into the drawings and is properly identified on the appropriate form. Verify that all drawings affected by a revision are properly updated
* Provide costing estimates and site surveys as required
* Performs duties and responsibilities as needed for quality assurance
* Perform other duties as assigned by the manager to support departmental goals
* Strong Interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills
* Strong organizational and analytical skills
* Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
* Must have the ability to lift up to 10 pounds.

Required Qualifications

* High School diploma of GED.
* 2+ years of experience using computer-aided drafting (CAD) systems to prepare or revise engineering drawings
* 2+ years of experience with drafting and mechanical drawing skills; knowledge of drafting standards and a solid background in computer-aided drawing techniques
* 2+ years of experience using Microsoft Office Programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Preferred Qualifications

* Associate degree
* Experience using computer-aided drafting (CAD) systems to prepare or revise engineering drawings
* Working knowledge of ANSI Standard Y14.5 Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
