RRD is now hiring for Manager, Corporate Communications

RRD's Manager of Corporate Communications is responsible for contributing to the development and execution of day-to-day operations of the corporate communications function, including the PR, media relations, social media, and internal communications strategies of the company.

REPSONSIBILITIES

Media Relations:

* Possess a solid understanding of PR principles and media landscape to guide newsworthy pitch angles and secure placements that align with the Corporate Communications strategy
* Creatively match strategic company priorities with earned media opportunities and reporter interests to develop potential news angles and storytelling that amplify RRD's key messages and narrative
* Work closely with the Company's PR agency to facilitate PR initiatives. Serve as the liaison between the agency, internal spokespeople, Corporate Marketing, and other stakeholders
* Oversee overall project management for external communications, including ensuring that all PR, media relations, and social media initiatives are carried out in a carefully executed and timely manner
* Monitor relevant industries and trends to inform strategies and story ideas
* Interview internal stakeholders to produce written content such as press releases, media pitches, strategic communication plans, statements, contributed articles, blogs, bylines
* Develop and maintain external communications repositories, including speaker profiles, speaking engagement, award applications, targeted media lists, media pitches, and other documents needed to support the overall PR agenda of the company

Social Media

* Strategically manage RRD's social media channels (LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook), including posting differentiated content across each platform and maintaining an up-to-date content calendar. Work closely with Corporate Marketing to ensure the promotion of new thought leadership content and to support paid posts as needed
* Further refine and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
* Understand social media best practices and inform strategy regarding appropriate tone and frequency for current climate
* Monitor for comments and other engagement/activity and serve as the liaison back to key constituents including sales, customer service, and HR
* Track and report out on key social metrics.

Internal Communications:

* Responsible for supporting employee communications and carrying out key internal communications initiatives, including drafting and facilitating internal email announcements and liaising with internal stakeholders as needed
* Overall responsibility for managing project plans and calendars, and ensuring the on-time delivery of internal communications deliverables
* Responsible for developing and executing communications campaigns related to major internal announcements and communication initiatives, including change management
* Responsible for maintaining RRD's corporate intranet and monitoring and maintaining enterprise social platform
* Responsible for fielding and responding to internal inquiries and requests on behalf of the Corporate Communications organization, including requests for new social media posts and campaigns.
* At times responsible for attending meetings, recording minutes, and ensuring appropriate and on-time follow up on any outcomes from the meeting
* On a project base, responsible for certain research projects to support media relations activities and other communications initiatives



Required Skills

* Exceptional written and oral communication skills
* Passionate about communications with a proven media relations and strategic communication experience

Required Experience

* Bachelor's degree (public relations, english, journalism, communications, business preferred)
* A minimum of six years of experience working in communications, preferably B2B PR/media relations experience; agency experience a plus
* Communications experience including creating strategic communications plans, messaging development, and building reporter relationships
