To achieve operational excellence across the mine site through teamwork and leadership in the areas of safety, people, quality, production, and data. This is to be achieved by generating, analyzing, and reviewing the best mining information available to maximize and optimize business decisions.
Job Description
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
* Visibly support and champion Peabody's Mission and Values

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Three (3) years of coal or other mining experience in a production preferred
* Advanced computer knowledge and abilities including MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
* Strong ability to multi-task in very busy environment
* Ability to handle stress/pressure in a calm and professional manner
* Ability to quickly assess and prioritize work goals and solve problems in a fast-paced pit operations environment
* Interaction with people at all levels within the organization, customers, and visitors
* Ability to quickly assess and prioritize work goals and solve problems in a fast-paced pit operations environment
* Ability to work in all areas of Dispatch including monitoring radios, text messages, emails and all phone communications
* The ability to operate surface mining equipment in a safe productive manner if/when there is an operational need
* Ensure activities comply with safety, environmental and statutory requirements
* Other duties as assigned by the company
Physical Requirements
SURFACE ENVIRONMENT
* Must have the ability to stand for up to 4 hours per shift
* Must have the ability to be seated for up to 4 hours to operate equipment or vehicles
* Must have the ability to work from elevated positions, walk/climb up and down stairs/steps and climb on/off equipment and ladders
* Must have the ability to wear required protective footwear, hearing and eye protection, and other personal protective equipment as required by Company and MSHA
* Must have the ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions (push, pull, twist, handle), and have rapid reflex movements of the arms/legs and good hand to eye coordination
* Must have the ability to lift/raise 10 50 lbs. without mechanical assistance frequently during the work shift
* Must have the ability to work in extreme conditions, including but not limited to changing weather conditions, dust, mud, varying levels of noise from low to high decibels, varying degrees of light/dark, in and around artificial light, and in a confined work area
* Must have the ability to work various shifts (required shifts include days, evening and nights, with rotating schedules, weekends and holidays)
