Position Summary: The Parker Engineering Internship Program is focused on the development of new talent by exposing interns to the dynamic and challenging field of manufacturing and operations. Interns will gain experience in developing innovative solutions to complex engineering and manufacturing production problems through the identification and implementation of lean manufacturing processes. We have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join our team at the Pump and Motor Division (PMD) Kings Mountain, NC location! The Engineering Interns projects are hands on. You will walk away from this internship with a better understanding of how to use simulation tools to make design decisions and improvements, how to use existing data to quantify recommended improvements and the day-to-day workings of an engineering department in a manufacturing environment! Essential Functions: Adheres to all safety requirements. Develops simulation parameters for gerotor motor. Conducts sensitivity analysis and design of experiment. Recommends data driven best practices. Communicates results of technical inquiry to team members, providing documentation for future reference. Perform other duties as assigned.

Currently enrolled in a bachelors or advanced degree program in an engineering field. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills. Detail oriented and analytical to review data to recommend practical solutions. Demonstrated ability to work with others and be a collaborative team member. Proficiency in MS Office Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc. Presentation and facilitation skills preferred. Experience with 3D CAD modelling and engineering drawings preferred.
