Associate General Counsel
Westlake Village, CA
The Move, Inc. Legal Department has an opening for an attorney with 8-10+ years experience. The desired candidate will have a combination of in-house counsel and top-tier law firm experience. The Associate General Counsel will report directly to the Executive Vice President and General Counsel and will be a member of a small and congenial law department.
The Associate General Counsel acts as an advisor to assigned business units to provide creative solutions to business and legal issues. Responsibilities include negotiating, drafting and reviewing contracts with internal clients, suppliers, strategic partners and other parties. The right candidate will have exceptional drafting and negotiating skills, good analytical and practical problem solving skills, and strong business judgment.
Requirements:
* JD Degree from an ABA approved law school
* Member of the California Bar Association
* Minimum 7-10 years of business transactional experience in a top tier law firm
* 10+ years of collective experience working as an attorney in a large, public company
* Technology experience is highly preferred
* Ability to analyze and research complex legal issues and translate such research and analysis into practical and effective advice
* Excellent risk assessment, problem solving abilities, and exceptional business judgement
* Ability to support various business units
* Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and the ability to work in a fast paced in-house environment
